Camp Mend-a-Heart provides a place for children with heart conditions to get together in a care-free environment, forge friendships with one another and create lasting memories. At school or with friends these kids may feel that they are very different - many already having defibrillators, numerous heart medications, and restrictions on physical activities. Camp Mend-a-Heart gives them a place to be themselves with no fear of how others will view them or their heart condition.
Since 2005, Rapport has donated the use of our Executive Retreat, complete with food and staff, to support the cause that Camp Mend-a-Heart stands for. Kids get to participate in activities on our high ropes course learning that no matter what the circumstances everyone of us has a chance to soar. We are thrilled to be able to be part of such an amazing experience for each child who attends the camp because we know the memories they create during this special time will be foundational memories that lead them through life.
