The opportunity to work with the members of the USA Power Soccer team proved to be the most amazing, inspiring way to start 2007 we could have imagined. Rapport joined Team USA at their first training camp to provide Custom Performance Training to the team, and see them in action during their first three training day camp, held in Las Vegas January 4-6, 2007.

The first sport ever developed for Power Wheelchair users, Power Soccer players zip around a basketball court at speeds in excess of five mph maneuvering an oversize soccer ball through the goal. With players from all across the country applying for a spot, Team USA truly represents the best players in our country and, as they plan to prove at the Power Soccer World Cup in October, the best players in the world.

Michael Saletta, CEO of Rapport Leadership International donated his time to the team for two leadership training sessions, one at the beginning of the camp when they were first learning to play as a team and one after they had been playing together for some time. Rapport challenged the players to think and act like a team through a series of processes designed to advance their leadership and communication skills, as well as, build trust amongst the team.

As individuals and as an organization, we truly feel grateful to have met each person involved with Team USA. We know that as they push forward and move toward their goals we will be able to say, "I knew them before they were world champions!" Thank you to each and every player for allowing us to be a part of your day, and an extra note of thanks to Master Graduate and Head Coach Chris Finn who invited us to participate.
